Term end examination will be held as per scheme notified from time to time. Examination schedule is intimated in the admission letter so as to enable the students to plan accordingly for the examinations. Student can exercise the option to clear the papers in piece-meal whenever examination is held /requested. Being flexible examination system student is to re-appear for examination in such subjects only in which he/she has failed.

Students are not required to attend the classes anywhere. There are two modes of Examination. Students are required to opt for any one. Students can download the study materials either from the E-Book section or refer the E-library. Students can also purchase books from the book vendor authorized here.

 

1) Online Examination for the benefit of the IMA students the examinations can be administered “online”. Students of distance learning mode can take “online” examination anywhere in the world using a computer with Internet access. Effective use of online examination method can help distance learning mode students in numerous ways:

  • Cost: It is in the interest of distance learning mode students so as to save upon travelling cost, time & energy.
  • Easy to use and students may give the exam from anywhere in the world using a computer with an internet facility. (They can appear in the exam even from a cyber cafe in there city)
  • Question: Questions are convenient to answer for the students, as they are in Objective / Multiple choice forms.
  • Result: The examinee can know the result by contacting the Student Support Desk and will also be emailed to them as well.

Instructions for appearing in the online examination:

  • You are advised to contact the institute before taking an online examination.
  • To access the online exam you require a USER NAME and PASSWORD, Which will be assigned to you by the institute on submission of your examination form and the examination fee as instructed by the institute.
  • The user name & password will allow you to access the examination on the days allotted to you.

2) Assignment Based Postal Examination: Institute has provision for assignment based postal term end examination also. Under this scheme, term end assignments (For Term End Examination) are sent to the student (under confidential cover) as per term end examination schedule given in the admission letter. These are to be completed /answered and the response-sheets returned to the Institute within 15 days of the receipt.

In the absence of any express option, it is believed that student has opted for assignment based postal term end examination system.

Students are advised to dispatch the response sheets to the Institute by registered post/courier to ensure their timely receipt.

Students may submit response sheets of assignments /term end examinations of all subjects together or may submit in parts followed by the submission of remaining assignments/response sheets with in the specified time.

 

If a student is not in a position to take the term end examination as per examination schedule and want to get it rescheduled (pre-pone or post-pone), may inform the Institute accordingly for re-examination so that his/her session/semester is re-scheduled accordingly and examination arranged as per request.

If a student fails to submit the response sheets of assignments of the term end examination of one or more subjects within the required period, he/she shall be treated as absent and shall have to appear for re-examination. Re-examination is arranged within one month on receiving request from the student.

 

Procedure/Instruction for Admission
 

(A) Prospectus /Application form can be obtained from the institute Or you can download free from IMA website.

(B) There is no entrance test for admission. It is direct. ( except for a Master and a Doctorate degree )

(C) The Admission into the IMA Distance Learning Programs is open throughout the year and you can enroll at any time if you meet the eligibility criteria.

On receiving the filled-in application form along with the course fee, the institute will scrutinize the same and student who fulfills the admission criteria will be admitted.

1. Application for admission should be sent in the prescribed form along with the course fee.

2. The filled in application should be submitted to the institute on or before the last date specified. The institute is not responsible for any postal delay.

3. Students need not send/submit their original certificates. The following self attested documents are to be enclosed along with the filled-in application

      The following documents are to be attached with the completed Application Form.

  • Two passport size photographs
  • Photocopy of the Degree or the final year mark Sheet.
  • Photocopy of the High School Certificate for the verification of the date of birth, Student's and Father's name.
  • Demand Draft of fee / cash deposit slip of bank / transaction detail in case of electronic transfer.

4. Admitted students will be allotted an enrolment number.

5. All fees should be paid by A/C payee Bank Draft in favour of Indian Management Academy payable at       Ahmedabad. Cash can be deposited personally.

6. Study Material can be downloaded from the E-Books or bought directly from the book vendor authorized.

7. Fee once paid shall neither be returned nor adjusted against any other programme of IMA.

8. Fee schedule should be strictly observed by student for payment of fee by installment.

9. Change of course shall not be considered after enrolment.

10. The filled-in application along with the required documents should be sent by Registered Post / Courier to:-

11. The Director of the Institute reserves the right to accept or reject an application without assigning any reason what so ever.

12. The Institute shall not be held responsible in any way for any consequence whatsoever may arise if a student does not receive any correspondence, study materials, question papers, Examination intimation, result etc. which are sent only by ordinary post.
